    Job Description: Lab Technician

    A new women's health startup seeks a motivated lab technician eager to grow and develop with the company.

    Position Overview:

    We are excited to welcome a dynamic and enthusiastic lab technician to join our pioneering women's health startup, part of the microbiome lab at the Faculty of Medicine at Safed. As a Lab Technician, you will be an integral part of our small and dedicated team, contributing to our mission of unraveling the mysteries of the microbiome and its implications for women's health. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, from sample processing to data analysis, supporting our research endeavors as we push the boundaries of microbiome science.

    Responsibilities:

    Biological Samples Processing: Handle and process various biological samples for microbiome analysis, adhering to established protocols and ensuring the highest standards of sample integrity.

    Laboratory Operations: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including equipment setup and maintenance, stock management, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

    Molecular Biology processes: Perform DNA extraction, PCR, and other molecular biology techniques.

    Data Management: Responsibility for big data sets, organization, and collaboration with colleagues to ensure accurate data management and sharing.

    Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas and insights to the team, suggesting laboratory processes and protocol improvements.

    Documentation: Maintain detailed and up-to-date laboratory notebooks, standard operating procedures, and experimental protocols.

    Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members

    Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in life science (Biology/Biotechnology and more)

    Experience: No prior laboratory experience is needed! We will teach you everything. A research project experience is advantageous.

    Adaptability: Willingness to embrace startup culture, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute proactively to a fast-paced and evolving research environment.

    Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating effective collaboration with team members.

    Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively organize and manage datasets, laboratory supplies, samples, and equipment for smooth day-to-day operations.

    Initiative: Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also contributing actively in a team setting.
