ZygoFix set out with a vision of improving spinal fusion clinical outcomes in the most minimally invasive fashion by providing solutions aligned with our natural anatomy.
ZygoFix is an innovative spine technology company founded in 2017 by Prof. Yizhar Floman and Uri Arnin, experienced entrepreneurs from the field with proven track record.
The company has developed the zLOCK system, with the first implant capable of adapting its shape to suite the specific anatomy it is inserted into. The system is intended to stabilize a spinal joint by locking its motion from the inside, minimizing and simplifying spinal fusion procedures. The zLOCK system is used clinically (under a study) for lumbar spine fusion procedures for over 2 years with great interim results. The zLOCK implant stabilizes motion in the facet joints, by that replacing external and invasive pedicle screw systems that are typically used today.
ZygoFix was named a Gold Winner of the MassChallenge Israel 2019 program and is a winner of the Spine Technology Awards for 2017.
