NORTECH / JOB OPPORTUNITY
Software Engineer (C#/.NET)
About the Position
We are looking for a junior-to-mid Software Engineer to join and grow with our core development team. As a small, fast-moving startup, we value engineers who are curious about every part of the stack- desktop applications, backend services, and the data layer- and who want to build real ownership over time rather than settle into a single niche.
You will implement and maintain features of our AI-based medical products, working alongside experienced engineers who guide and review your work, within an Azure DevOps–based Scrum process. The role is hands-on from day one, and the scope you own grows with you.

Responsibilities
- Implement, test, and maintain C#/.NET features across desktop (WPF) applications, backend services (WebAPI), and data-layer components- starting with well-defined tasks and growing toward end-to-end feature ownership.
- Write unit tests and verify your own work before handing it over.
- Take part in code reviews- learning from feedback on your code and, over time, reviewing others’.
- Investigate and fix defects, contributing to root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and QA as part of an Azure DevOps–based Scrum process.
- Learn across the stack as needed- versatility matters more than specialization on our team.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on software development experience with C#/.NET (industry experience, internship, or substantial project work).
- Hands-on experience with at least one of desktop applications (WPF) or backend services (WebAPI) — and the willingness to learn the other.
- Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools, with the habit of reading, testing, and understanding the code they produce before relying on it.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL).
- Solid software fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, and version control (Git).
- B.Sc. in Computer Science / Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Curiosity, an ownership mindset, clear communication, and the habit of asking for help early rather than late.
- Comfortable working in a structured environment with documentation discipline (regulatory compliance is owned by dedicated team members).
Advantages
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
- Experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines) and unit-testing frameworks (xUnit / NUnit).
- Automation and scripting skills — PowerShell, Python, GitHub, and related technologies.
- Experience with Azure cloud services or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with medical device / regulated software environments.
